The definition of a Rabbit is a male golf club member 18 years or over with a Handicap Index of 15 or above.

The maximum number of shots to be allowed to any player is 28, regardless if a player’s playing handicap exceeds a course stroke allowance of 28. (Any player with a higher Handicap can play, but will play off 28)

Each club shall pay an annual subscription of a sum to be agreed at the Annual General Meeting.

The Captain of each Rabbit Section will be responsible for ensuring that team members have an active handicap prior to the start of the Alliance season. To use a ride-on buggy a player must have a medical certificate or be able to show some form of exemption.

To be eligible to play in the Major and Jubilee a player must have played in one other competition in that season. Player’s receiving vouchers either 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th have to split for the rest of that season.

For the purposes of our Lisa Jane and Amanda Clare competitions the category of LOW HANDICAP players will be Handicap Indexes between 15 and 20. HIGH HANDICAP players will be from 19 upwards but with the overriding principle of a maximum number of shots allowed of 28.  In order to assist teams where it is difficult to select enough LOW HANDICAP players a player with a Handicap index of 20 or above can be included as a LOW HANDICAP selection with a maximum allowed Handicap index of 20 regardless of his personal index.

The Executive Committee shall consist of a President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary/ Treasurer and a representative from each club. The President, Vice President and the Secretary/Treasurer shall retire at the Annual General Meeting and the Secretary/Treasurer be eligible for re-election.

The Secretary shall have the authority to call a Sub Committee consisting of the President, Vice President and Past President to settle any matters requiring attention with the power to co-opt. Any disputes as to Prize Giving will be dealt with by the Executive Committee on the day they happen, or at a later date if need be.

The Annual General Meeting shall be held after the final competition in each year and shall be attended by the Officers and two representatives from each club usually the Secretary and the Rabbit Captain and Past Presidents who shall be ex-officio.
